Guided by founder Dr. Roosevelt Johnson, Afro-American Graduate School Outreach Counseling Ministries (A.G.S.O.C.M), and its major subsidiary, www.zeroschoolviolence.org , has dedicated itself to healing the numerous problems of the urban community through faith-based and therapeutic principles. We are a partnering organization that has developed partnerships with many diverse community entities, which include D.C. Superior courts, D.C. Public Schools, The Crime victims Compensation fund, and many other government, private, and faith based organizations. Some of the issues that we confront include behavior and anger management for at-risk youth, marriage and couples counseling, family therapy, training for teachers in dealing with volatile youths, providing therapy for the victims of various crimes, and many other initiatives designed to quell the negativity that persist in the urban community and beyond.

KSK Outreach Youth Program,started out in 1999, as a community service project, to provide youth with mentors and cutural recreational activities after school. Many of these youth come from underprivlidged and unstable households who need positive guidance in school, familiy living, peer pressure, and other behaviors that hender their growth and development for the future. Through observation and communication many of these youth require direct attention. KSK Outreach prepares youth for dealing with marginal lifestyles in the home and on the streets.

S.H.O.M.'s mission is to improve the quality and longevity of life of its singly- and multiply-diagnosed program participants. This is accomplished by one stop comprehensive, holistic service delivery. Continuity of care includes outreach and prevention, emergency crisis intervention, referral or intake into Safe Haven's substance abuse residential or outpatient and aftercare treatment services.
