Genesis Outreach, Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization established in 1988 in response to the large chemically dependent minority population. It has been determined that to achieve the trust and "comfort level" needed to serve the minority community that services must be located in the area of its predominant clientele. Genesis targeted this population to provide supportive services to because addictions have been strongly identified with homelessness, child abuse/neglect, poverty, violence, and the breakdown of the family structure.
