Our goals are to assist the orphanages we support to provide the basic necessities, provide a quality education, and become self sufficient. The orphanages we work with are extremely poor. We partner with them to provide opportunities for the orphans who live there.

Our children, who are often the most innocent and youngest victims of alcoholism, have adult size problems. Our home has been designed to provide the children with the love and support they need to deal with and overcome the ostacles of their past. We strive to maintain a home for them that looks like a home ... that's comfortable and feels like home. For the children's sake, we avoid all appearance of institution, so that we can be as homey as possible.

Community Outreach And Advocacy For Refugees, Inc.      2121 S Mill Ave Tempe, AZ 85282 website: http://www.coarweb.org/ While there are many organizations that serve resettled refugees, COAR's approach is unique because it focuses on mobilizing a previously untapped resource - the very communities in which refugees are resettled. Inadequate staffing and scarce resources prevent refugee service organizations from conducting the outreach and education needed to engage community members in this work. COAR's energy and initiatives have attracted large numbers of volunteers who otherwise would not have become involved in refugee issues. Refugees transition better if they are supported by a community that values cultural exchange and reinforces their efforts to adjust. Through its programs, COAR is cultivating this type of community and connecting refugees to it.

Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services      39 N. Tucson Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85716 website: http://Teenoutreachaz.org Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services, founded in 2000, is dedicated to providing education and support to pregnant and parenting teens. Our educational classes, taught in both English and Spanish, help the pregnant teen maintain a healthy pregnancy by making her aware of how to take care of herself. TOPS is staffed by Registered Nurses who are in the obstetrics field with experience working with teens. Volunteer mentors are assigned to each teen and her family to offer individualized support throughout this difficult time. We believe that through education and support, babies born from a teen mother will have a much healthier beginning and future.

Our outreach has expanded rapidly to serve the ever increasing number of those that need help. The Grace Home was opened to provide a loving, safe and enduring home for homeless or displaced children, birth to age 18.
